Spring is around the corner and soon we’ll be trading snow pants for shorts, skirts and dresses that show off our legs. Women who have veins on their legs may feel self-conscious about wearing the latest spring trends because they want to cover up those imperfections. You don’t need to cover up your skin when there are other options! Chesapeake Vein Center and MedSpa can reduce the appearance of your veins and have you feeling confident in your new spring clothes!
Choosing your treatment
The two types of veins most women have on their legs are varicose veins and spider veins. A Venous Duplex Ultrasound is used at Chesapeake Vein Center and MedSpa to find out which treatment is best for your particular veins. This minimally invasive ultrasound can detect venous disease in addition to determining which vein treatment should be used. Radiofrequency Ablation, Ambulatory Phlebectomy and Sclerotherapy are used to treat our patient’s varicose and spider veins.
Radiofrequency Ablation at Chesapeake Vein Center and MedSpa is used to treat venous disease and varicose veins. Radiofrequency energy uses heat to damage the inner walls of the veins that are then filled with scar tissue, redirecting the flow to healthy veins, fading the appearance of the varicose veins over time. Ambulatory Phlebectomy in Chesapeake, Virginia removes varicose veins and redirects the blood to a healthier vein. Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive spider vein treatment that can also be used for small varicose veins. This treatment injects saline solution into the vein, which causes the vein to constrict, and after re-routing the blood flow the veins completely fade over time.
