Experience with Dr. Challa was exceptional. He repaired my ingunal hernia at Chesapeake General Hospital. The procedure was outpatient. I had virtually no pain. Just slight soreness after the surgery. The day after surgery I walked 3.5 miles. I didn’t even use the pain medication after the day of surgery. Dr Challa and his staff were courteous and professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone. The staff at Chesapeake General was outstanding as well. John Castello

Dr. Challa is awesome. What a gifted and knowledgeable physician. My mother had a hernia that had pushed her diaphragm into her lungs and behind her heart. She had trouble eating, breathing, and walking. He was able to fix the problem not only effectively and efficiently but also with compassion and kindness. He went above and beyond making her feel comfortable and at ease. He called and visited the hospital numerous times each day and always greeted her with a smile and willingness to answer all our questions. I recommend him with confidence and certainty.

I am very pleased as to how my procedure was handled from the initial consult with Dr. Challa to include insurance education as well as scheduling . The entire staff was wonderful to work with in person and over the phone. The actual procedure required 4 individual visits. Each one was handled in a very professional and soothing way. They made me feel at ease which I am thankful for. If anyone is considering this procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Challa and his staff. I have already let others know to include my family. Dr. Challa is the “Greatest”. After limping for 3 months and exhaustion after walking short distances, my energy level has increased 100%. I have just undergone my 2nd vein ablation surgery and came into this appointment with such excitement and anticipation! The relief I experienced from my first surgery was phenomenal, my untreated leg felt 40 pounds heavier and all of the pain I experienced prior to my first surgery has subsided. Doc and his staff are incredible!! I came to Dr. Challa with some lower extremity swelling. As a Endurance Athlete I was very concerned with any surgery that might have any negative affect the blood flow to my legs. They put my concerns at ease and one year later my legs are stronger then they have ever been. I can’t say enough about how supportive and accommodating the staff are!!

I’ve had varicose veins since I was about twenty years old. I had a pretty bad case, considering my age. I had an endovenous laser ablation done in the past, but decided to go here for further procedures instead. I’m so glad I did! I’ve had three procedures done so far, and the results were amazing. My legs haven’t been this pain-free in years.The staff is very friendly and professional, and Dr. Challa is awesome! I would recommend going here for any vein issues you may have.
