After suspected Lipedema, my PCP referred me to Dr. Challa, who takes a very holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment options, explaining each very thoroughly. My mother started seeing Dr Challa at the end of June for pain and heaviness in her legs. Dr Challa was professional, yet very personable. He was straightforward with my mother on what to expect, making her feel at ease moving forward with the proposed treatment. It’s been a little under two months and she just had her month post-op follow up visit. She is now reporting no pain or heaviness in her legs! A successful outcome, as her legs haven’t felt this good in years! Dr. Challa and his team are wonderful! As a woman of color, I was initially hesitant pursuing laser hair removal. Even after being told during my research, that lasers today are much more advanced and safer for all skin types, I was still scared to move forward. However, after my initial consultation and three treatments with Dawn (who is amazing by the way) my concerns and hesitation have turned into relief and satisfaction after coming the Chesapeake Vein Center and MedSpa. Dawn is friendly, extremely informative, answers all questions and checks in consistently during the treatment to ensure comfort. My experience with the laser hair removal has been great. After my first treatment I noticed a huge difference in my hair growth (grew back slower and less quantity). After my second and third treatment I have noticed the same hair reduction and thinning, plus I do not need to shave half as often. Laser hair removal does include some pain the higher the laser is (typically increases with treatment) but Dawn makes sure to check in and reduce it if it is too much. Regardless, the results are beyond worth it! If you are tired of dealing with consistent shaving or struggle with self-confidence because of unwanted hair, I strongly encourage you to give Dawn a try!
